| As most of you know we'll be looking to get a Kin House soon, so assuming we're still going with the votes and choosing Bree I thought i'd leave you these images I took of each one and its surroundings, although to be honest they all look very similar. I've also left prices and upkeep for each house. 1 HIGH ROADPrice: 17 Gold 250 Silver Upkeep: 345 Silver per week Notes: Sits atop a rather large hill & easily has the largest garden/surrounding grounds. It's also the closest to the vendors. Only flaw would be the price cause quite frankly this place is HUGE! Dwarves and Hobbitses beware because you could get lost! 5 LONG STREETPrice: 14 Gold 250 Silver Upkeep: 285 Silver per week Notes: The surrounding grounds seem smaller than the others but it it closest to the entrance of the instance. Not much too look at but it's handy to get to places. 8 LONG STREETPrice: 15 Gold Upkeep: 300 Silver per week Notes: Very reasonably priced considering it's location isn't too far away from the entrance. Has a really lovely waterfall to its left and path the leading to the house is nice nd long. This is probably the most aesthetically pleasing to look at from the outside. 9 CHESNUT STREETPrice: 16 Gold 500 Silver Upkeep: 330 Silver per week Notes: A complete rip off if you ask me. It's miles away from anything, looks kinda average and why the price is so high I don't know. The only thing that I can think is special about it is that if you enjoy a secluded area then this is about as far away from civilisation as you can get! Another thing I think I should mention is that if you're thinking about buying a deluxe house then wait until we get the kin house. If you have your house and your kin house in the same homestead then you get even cheaper discounts on everything including repairs and vendor items. My other suggestion is that we should wait until we find a newly opened homestead thats completely empty so if people want to buy a house then we can all move into the same area and have our pick of the bunch when it comes to houses. | |

| Thank ye kindly for that, Argo! Its nice to see them all up at once like that, gives it all some perspective. My personal choice would be for either 1 High Road (Expensive, but huuuuuge) or 8 Long Street (because not only is the waterfall picturesque, but it means a pool/pond is nearby - good for the fishers among us! One thing I would love to see more of in lotro is us 'living' there, just chilling out discussing things in-character over a pint or some night fishing, that kinda thing) Again, cheers for taking the initiative on this Argo, I should promote you for this....oh, hang on ...

| My old Kin house was at 9 Chesnut Street, but I thought it was Chesnut Road. It was pretty nice to be honest, and in quite a nice spot. The cut off from civilisation bit didn't really bother us that much. We picked it because we thought it was a great spot. I do like 1 High Road as a personnel choice though. | |

| 8 Long Street would get my vote, 1 High Street would come second. | |

| 8 Long Street gets my vote too. The reason being is it's the nicest to look out from the outside, it's 'kinda' secluded but you can get to places easily, and more importantly we have to consider the money. We're only a small kin as it is plus we sometimes have players that don't appear for a few days/weeks so 'if' we're running the upkeep on a rota system then the more active players will probably be keeping it running all the time. Not that I've personally got a problem with that but I suppose it's fair for everyone to chip in.
300s a week isn't much at all if you ask me and even the house price is a bit of a bargain.

| How do you pay the upkeep for a Kin house?
Does the Kin leader do it? can you build a 'kitty' to build it from?
I was gonna recommend that everyone pay an amount each week toward the upkeep, proportionate to their class level and status within the guild.

| No you can't build up a kitty unfortunately but you can give people permission so that they can pay. What I'd recommend is having a set person to keep control of the funds and make sure everyone pays their dues.
I agree that higher levels should put in more money as they're in a financial position to do so. Maybe we could work out at what level people pay what?
A bit like this:
level 1 - 35 = No payment (because of horse fund) level 36 - 40 = 100s maximum* level 41+ = 200s maximum*
* = Depending on upkeep price.
Obviously thats just rough numbers and go with whatever you think is best boss. It might be an idea to work it all out individually who pays what each time around, so it'll reduce how much each person has to pay.
For example one week myself and Ed could pay 150s each (depending on upkeep price) and then Thorri and Gray could pay it the following week. Week after that you, Belle and Ath and someone else at that level could pay 75s each. We'll keep on doing this until everyone is up to a high level then it'll be easy to keep it running.
