"A skilled tailor can make simple clothing from common cloth, but with time and practice they can learn to create garments of great beauty that provide significant protection to their wearer. The Tailor can also work with tanned hides to produce leather armor – light, tough and suitable for travel."

The Neránian HEAD TAILOR is:


Tailoring is fundamental for all adventurers who wear light and medium armour. A tailor has the skill to craft functional pieces that provide the wearer added protection and sometimes bonus's to their stats. These pieces range from the most common cloth to the finest Elven silk. As a tailor progresses and becomes more skilled they are able to design beautiful clothing and accessories to compliment every kind of adventurer.

Tailor's need Boiled Leathers from Foresters in order to craft their armours. Boiled Leathers are tanned from different sized Hides, which come from different animals around Middle-earth. If you have a friend who can tailor then remember to save your hides during your adventures as you may be rewarded with a new fine looking set of armour!

Associated Vocations: Armourer, Explorer, Yeoman

Required Tools

* Tailor's Tools (e.g., Bronze Tailor's Tools)
* Workbench
* Superior Workbench (for Artisan and Master Tiers, found in Esteldin and inside Blue Stone Garrison in Thorin's Hall)


A tailor uses boiled leathers for clothing and armour and must rely on a Forester to gather and boil hides from various creatures.
