When a Witness becomes an official member of the The Neránians, they join the ranks of the kin that is traditionally known as a Watchman.
However, this term has not seen much use since 2150 TA and through a combination of neccessity and tradition, a Watchmen tends to fall in one of two camps:

Some choose to follow a path following the methods of their allies, The Rangers. The Watchmen prefer the solitude of the wilds to the hussle of the town or city. They choose to remove themselves from the communities they strive to protect, taking a longer-view of the situation that they might better monitor the areas around the community for signs of trouble. Most likely to interact with the Rangers than their kin, these Neránians hunt the wild places: the forests, mountains, shrubland and plains and are usually excellent wilderness survivalists. For this reason they are known as 'The Green Watch'.

Conversely, there are those who choose the opposite approach to protecting the Free Peoples of Middle Earth by staying close to their charge and ever vigilant for signs of corruption or despair. These urban agents tend to remain in the more civilised communities rather than brave the harshness of the wilderness but are by no means less hardy than their kin. Where the Green Watch stalk the trees and hills, these kin prefer the shadows of an alley or the roof-tops at midnight. To the rest of The Neránians, they are known as 'The Gray Watch.'

(Note that when players move from Witness to Member, they get to choose to be either Green Watch or Gray Watch. This is a role-playing aesthetic choice, in-game characters will only be seen "on-screen" as 'member", though players in-character will refer to them as Green or Gray watch where appropriate. Specific colour dyes are recommended for ease of identification, but not essential. Whilst on this forum, players will likewise be referred to as Green Watch or Gray Watch instead of Member.)
