Recruitment Rules

As we have discussed before, one of our aims is to remain a fairly small community who knows each other well; preferring to form Alliances with others over having a huge flood of players that mostly don't know one another.

It is in keeping with the Kin-Lore however, for us to be actively recruiting new members to our cause, even if this is a rigeous and careful process.

Now that the Kin is fast approaching Rank 5 and Rederic has kindly finished the Forum Visual Update, the time to recruit has begun.

People are encouraged to be on the lookout for exceptional players who would benefit the guild and are active role-players, but please heed the following rules when looking to recruit:

1. Vorshadir (Leader), Elder Neránians (Officer) and Officers are the only members of the Kin recruiting other players in-game. If any member of Green or Gray watch comes across a player they think would benefit the Kin, please contact an Officer.

2. Please only Recruit from known sources. These include people you already know (from other games or even this one) or people you have met in game and have a good working relationship with. (You've quested with them a fair bit). Please also make sure they adhere to point ( 3 ).

3. Any player wishing to join us must first sign up to this Forum (and be given 'Witness' Rank). They will remain as such for 7 days and are encouraged to participate in the Forum (this will go some way to deciding if they are to be accepted). At the end of this trial period, the player is informed whether they have been accepted or not, and if so will then meet with An Officer (or above) in-game and Role-Play their entry into the Kin, swearing allegiance to either Gray or Green watch and being awarded their cloak (or other specific clothing item). At this point they will be upgraded to Kinsman/Kinswoman in-game and to Gray Watch / Green Watch on the Forums.
Officers, Elder Neránians or Vorshadir should perform the swearing-in RP.
(RULE EXCEPTION: Players from 'Blasters for Hire' do not start at Witness Rank, they can choose Gray / Green Watch immediately and are instantly recruited into the Kin (after the Swearing In RP Session)

4. No one person (Even the Vorshadir) can perform the Swearing-In Ceremony. At least 1 other Neránian must be in attendance (and agreement).

5. Be very 'picky' about who you let into the Kin, Officers. We want no more than a maximum of 36 Members (+Vorshadir) and we already have 8 (at the time of this writing), with the possibility of two more B4H people joining us. That means we can only let in another 26 players in the Kin's lifetime (such as it currently stands) so we can be stringent about whom we do let in.
